Job summary

ASC in Osborne, South Australia, is seeking Senior Project Schedulers to join the PMO. You will provide technical support to Project Managers, drive effective project scheduling, and contribute to successful delivery of submarine programs.

Permanent full-time roles with relocation assistance. Candidates should have 5+ years of scheduling/controls experience, preferably in Defence or heavy engineering, and be clearance-ready.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ demonstrated scheduling and project planning or controls experience within a complex project environment.
• Experience in Defence, Shipbuilding or heavy engineering preferred.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Excel.
• Understanding of Earned Value Management.

Responsibilities

• Review, plan and schedule whole submarine maintenance activities.
• Understand and document the sequence of works, relationships, durations and resource requirements.
• Develop project schedules including identification and verification of critical path.
• Monitor and control all activities through the planning and execution of activities.
• Update activity information and status based on information from various sources.
• Re-scheduling of activities in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
• Communication of trends to the Project Manager and Project Team.
• Detailed schedule analysis for relevant stakeholders.

About the Opportunity

We have several opportunities available for experienced and passionate Senior Project Schedulers to join our Program Management Office (PMO). Reporting to the Principal Scheduler, you will provide technical support and advice to Project Managers, driving effective project scheduling to support the successful delivery of the Program

Permanent full-time opportunities based in Osborne, South Australia. Relocation assistance provided.

Responsibilities

Working in an experienced team of project delivery professionals, responsibilities include but will not be limited to the following:

• Review, plan and schedule whole submarine maintenance activities.
• Understand and document the sequence of works, relationships, durations and resource requirements.
• Develop project schedules including the identification and verification of critical path.
• Monitor and control all activities through the planning and execution of activities.
• Update activity information and status based on information from various sources.
• Re-scheduling of activities in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
• Communication of trends to the Project Manager and Project Team.
• Detailed schedule analysis for relevant stakeholders.

About you

Minimum 5 years’ demonstrated scheduling and project planning or controls experience within a complex project environment, preferably in Defence, Shipbuilding and/or heavy engineering industries together with:

• Demonstrated experience in scheduling using Primavera P6
• Proficient Microsoft excel user and ability to work and thrive in a complex data environment.
• Understanding of Earned Value Management within a Program / Project environment.
• Proficiency in Power BI will be highly desirable.
• Ability to self-motivate whilst collaborating with various internal Stakeholders.
• Proven analytical problem-solving skills relating to costs and scheduling performance and reporting.

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
