Job summary

Baseline Projects invites an experienced project professional to lead multiple concurrent construction programs across Defence, Commercial and Education portfolios. You will drive high performance, mentor teams, and ensure profitability while promoting safety and quality across all sites.

With a minimum of eight years' experience, you will manage client relationships, support personal development, and deliver tailored career progression within a dog-friendly, well-equipped office.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline (construction, engineering or project management) or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven experience leading project management teams.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all staff levels.
• Motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team.

Key responsibilities

Managing and leading project teams to deliver multiple concurrent projects in various project stages

Promoting high performance from all team members and identifying opportunities for individual growth and progression

Providing mentorship to junior staff and assisting with the personal development of project delivery teams

Overseeing and guiding the effective management of cash flow, cost reporting and profitability for projects under management

Developing a balanced team to best utilise collective skillsets and provide pathways for personal development within structured teams

Taking a lead role in risk management and promoting a safe work environment reflective of baseline values

Leading the implementation of WHS systems, ensuring effective processes are in place and followed for each project

Maintains a positive working relationship with all employees and contractors to ensure project/company health and implement continuous opportunities for improvement

Acting as an escalation point for project teams and develop a rapport with key clients to retain and develop positive client relationships

Representing the client's best interest from inception to completion of the project

About you

A degree in relevant discipline or related field such as construction, engineering or project management or relevant industry experience

Proven experience managing a team of project management specialists

Minimum 8 years' experience managing complex construction projects or program of works

Strong organisational and time management skills

Believes in the importance of strong communication, and can effectively engage with all levels of staff

Highly motivated with proactive work style and ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
