Job summary

Amida Group in Newcastle is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager or Project Manager for a large-scale, $100m+ technical facility project. Immediate start and potential for relocation.

The role requires front-end design, contracts and design management, OHS, programming/planning, and leadership of site teams to deliver to schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–20 years’ experience delivering projects from start to finish, ideally from a Tier 1/2/3 background.
• Proven leadership ability in building and motivating teams to deliver high-quality projects.
• Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements / standards.
• Strong planning or project financial reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

• Ensure construction programmes are followed and deliver on project quality to programme.

Great opportunity to join a head contractor with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects. Must have experience in large scale SMP (Structural, Mechanical, Piping), Technical Facilities, Heavy Industry, Industrial Facilities, Processing Facilities etc.

A market leading head contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join their growing business in Newcastle.

As Senior / Project Manager, you will need to have strong front end design experience, commercial acumen, contracts management, design management, OHS, programming / planning experience as well as running meetings with consultants and subcontractors to provide a high-quality service that will ensure client expectations are met and exceeded. Will also need to be able to manage a team of site professionals.

Having previous experience delivering new build large scale technical, processing, heavy industry or industrial facilities with a lot of SMP, welding and pipework is highly compliant environments is highly regarded. ASAP start for the right candidate.

Candidate can be on a fixed term contract for circa 2yrs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or similar
• Minimum 10 - 20 years+ experience in the successful delivery of projects from start to finish ideally from a Tier 1 or 2 or 3 background
• Proven leadership ability in building and motivating teams to deliver high quality projects
• Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements / standards
• Strong planning and project financial reporting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Construction Safety Induction (white) card
