Job summary

Willow Recruitment (London) Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager for Bundaberg-based residential developments. You will lead from pre-construction through handover across a large master-planned estate, coordinating site managers, consultants and subcontractors to meet milestones.

You will drive cost, programme and quality outcomes on the initial 2-year project, with a focus on WHS, compliance and stakeholder relationships. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within large domestic developments.
• Strong commercial and contract management capability
• Excellent programming, procurement and project planning skills
• Experience leading Site Managers, Contract Administrators and project teams
• Strong subcontractor management and negotiation skills
• Excellent understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
• Strong attention to detail with a genuine focus on quality finishes
• Ability to confidently manage clients, consultants and key stakeholders
• Strong understanding of WHS, quality and compliance requirements
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for projects from pre-construction through delivery, completion and handover
• Manage project programmes, budgets, procurement and commercial performance
• Lead and support Site Managers, Contract Administrators and wider project teams
• Manage subcontractor procurement, performance and delivery
• Drive project programmes and ensure key milestones are achieved
• Maintain a strong focus on build quality, detailing and finishes throughout the project
• Manage client, consultant and key stakeholder relationships
• Chair and participate in project, design and construction meetings
• Work with consultants to resolve design, documentation and construction issues
• Identify project risks early and implement practical solutions
• Monitor cost, variations, claims, forecasting and overall project performance
• Ensure WHS, quality and compliance requirements are maintained
• Provide clear reporting to senior management on programme, commercial position and project performance
• Drive projects through practical completion, defects and handover
