Job summary

3D Recruitment's client, a respected privately owned commercial builder in Melbourne, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to take full ownership of projects from contract award through practical completion and defects.

You will manage budgets, cost reporting, procurement of subcontractors, and lead project teams while maintaining client relationships and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery across a strong forward pipeline.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Project Manager in Tier 2/3 commercial builders.
• Proven track record delivering projects in the $5m-$25m range.
• Strong contract administration knowledge (AS2124 / AS4000).
• Excellent client relationships and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of projects from contract award through practical completion and defects.
• Manage budgets, cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee contract administration, including variations, EOTs, progress claims and payment schedules.
• Lead, mentor and develop Project Managers, Contract Administrators and Site Managers.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation and performance.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Ensure programme, safety, quality and compliance requirements are met at every stage.

THE ROLE

• Take full ownership of projects from contract award through to practical completion and defects

YOU

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager with a Tier 2 or Tier 3 commercial builder
• Track record delivering projects in the $5m - $25m range
• Strong commercial acumen and contract administration experience (AS2124 / AS4000)
• Confident leading project teams and managing client relationships
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Building or Engineering highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
