Transport For NSW is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the REZ program to lead a portfolio of road, bridge and civil works in NSW. You will steer planning, delivery and governance across complex projects, ensuring safety, budget and schedule adherence while satisfying stakeholders.

The role is fixed term until 30 June 2030, based in Wagga Wagga or surrounding areas, with a strong emphasis on leadership, contract administration and risk management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience delivering major infrastructure projects.
• Four-year Civil Engineering degree from an Australian university or equivalent.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating service providers.
• Experience implementing WHS, risk and environmental management strategies.

In this role, you'll:

Lead the coordination and delivery of major road and bridge infrastructure projects that support the Southwest Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Program. You will oversee the development and implementation of a complex portfolio of works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget while meeting stakeholder and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver best-practice project management outcomes across a diverse portfolio of road, bridge and civil infrastructure projects.
• Manage the detailed planning, development and delivery of allocated projects from concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, quality and schedule requirements.
• Provide efficient and effective project management services that meet client, customer and stakeholder expectations.

This is a Fixed term position up to 30/6/2030 and will be based in Wagga Wagga or surrounding areas (negotiable).

You are a highly experienced infrastructure project professional with a strong track record delivering complex civil construction projects from planning through to completion. You bring exceptional leadership, stakeholder management and contract administration skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering outcomes safely, on time and within budget.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• A minimum of 10 years' experience managing and delivering major infrastructure projects within road, bridge, civil or transport environments.
• Proven experience in the detailed development and implementation of infrastructure projects, including monitoring, evaluating, managing and reporting on complex project outcomes.
• Demonstrated success implementing quality assurance systems, workplace health and safety (WHS) management, risk management and environmental management strategies across construction projects.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating internal and external service providers to achieve project objectives.
• A four-year Civil Engineering degree from an Australian university or an equivalent overseas qualification.
• Eligibility to fulfil the role of Principal's Authorised Person, Authorised Delegate or equivalent contract administration responsibilities.
