Job summary

Talent International in Sydney is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead three critical technology initiatives across Financial Crime, Risk, Compliance and Technology. This hybrid, Sydney-based role offers a six-month day-rate contract or 12-month fixed-term engagement, with ASAP start and a competitive market rate.

You will work with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced regulated environment, driving governance, timelines and delivery against AML/CTF requirements and platform rollout.

Qualifications

• Strong Technology Project Management experience within highly regulated environments.
• Experience with Financial Crime teams.
• Experience across AML, CTF, Risk, Compliance or regulatory technology.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Experience delivering vendor-led implementations and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Strong business analysis, governance and stakeholder management skills.
• Confident engaging senior leaders and constructively challenging expectations.
• Pragmatic, self-sufficient and comfortable working through ambiguity and regulatory complexity.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Transaction Monitoring Rule Uplift in response to evolving AML and CTF requirements.
• Deliver the next phase of a core platform rollout, including secure data storage.
• Lead discovery and proof-of-concept activities alongside enterprise architects.
• Develop practical delivery roadmaps, timeframes and investment estimates.
• Manage governance, risks, dependencies, testing, implementation and executive reporting.
• Coordinate internal teams, SMEs and external technology vendors.
• Gather and clarify requirements where dedicated Business Analyst support is limited.
• Challenge unrealistic expectations and turn complex requirements into achievable outcomes.

Talent International has partnered with a long-standing client to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager. The successful candidate will lead three critical technology initiatives across Financial Crime, Risk, Compliance and Technology.

Engagement: Initial six-month day-rate contract or 12-month fixed-term contract
Location: Sydney - hybrid, three days onsite

The Opportunity

Working with senior stakeholders across Financial Crime, Risk, Technology, Cyber Security and Operations, you will take ownership of delivery in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
