Job summary

Hindmarsh is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a major 12-storey residential development in Adelaide, SA. You will lead mobilisation through to completion, driving planning, programming and delivery with a high-performing team.

You will oversee commercial performance, risk, and cashflow, while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships. The role offers growth within a national contractor known for quality and safety.

Job description

With continued growth across our South Australian business, Hindmarsh is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a new $75M, 12-storey residential development commencing on site in early 2027.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a significant project from the outset, leading an experienced project team and influencing planning, commercial strategy, programming and delivery from mobilisation through to completion.

As Senior Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, bringing together the commercial, design, site and project management functions to achieve outstanding safety, quality, program and financial outcomes.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing overall leadership and direction to the project team from mobilisation through to completion
• Driving project planning, programming and delivery to achieve key milestones and contractual requirements
• Leading and developing a high-performing project team across commercial, design and site functions
• Maintaining oversight of project financial performance, commercial risk, forecasting and cashflow
• Working closely with the commercial team to manage head contract obligations, risks and opportunities
• Proactively identifying and managing project, contractual and operational risks
• Building strong relationships with the client, consultants, subcontractors and other key stakeholders
• Leading the resolution of complex project issues and making timely decisions to keep delivery on track
• Championing safety, quality and environmental performance throughout project delivery
• Providing accurate project reporting and maintaining clear communication with the South Australian leadership team

We are looking for someone who has:

• Significant experience leading major construction projects within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 head contractor environment
• Demonstrated experience successfully delivering projects valued at $50M+
• Strong high-rise residential or large-scale multi-storey construction experience
• A strong understanding of project programming, commercial management and construction methodology
• Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate multidisciplinary project teams
• Strong commercial acumen and experience managing contractual and project risk
• Excellent client, consultant and subcontractor relationship management skills
• A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
