Job summary

Downer EDI Limited is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of high voltage substation and electrical infrastructure projects across South Australia. You will oversee projects from design through to close out, leading multidisciplinary teams and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships to drive sound commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Extensive experience delivering high voltage substation, transmission or utility infrastructure projects.
• Proven capability leading multidisciplinary teams under EPC, Design and Construct or similar delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of high voltage substation and utility infrastructure projects.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks and stakeholder expectations.
• Oversee engineering design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams comprising engineers, construction personnel and subcontractors.

Lead major high voltage substation projects with Downer and help power Australia's energy future across South Australia.

The opportunity

• An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of high voltage substation and electrical infrastructure projects across South Australia.
• Working in a multidisciplinary environment, you will oversee projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and close out.
• You will be accountable for delivering complex projects safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
• This role will also see you lead project teams, maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, and drive sound commercial outcomes across the project lifecycle.

What we're looking for

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, Construction Management or a related discipline
• Extensive experience delivering high voltage substation, transmission or utility infrastructure projects
• Proven capability leading multidisciplinary teams under EPC, Design and Construct or similar delivery models
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with renewable energy, transmission network or battery energy storage system experience highly regarded
