Job summary

Bailey Abbott Pty Ltd in Adelaide is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Digital Transformation capability. You will oversee the overall direction, coordination, and completion of complex projects for Bailey Abbott clients, ensuring alignment with customer strategy and goals.

You will build and lead delivery teams, manage budgets and milestones, and mentor others to strengthen our delivery capability across varied industries and technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex technology and business initiatives from planning through to completion.
• Strong knowledge of delivery frameworks and governance across Agile, traditional and DevOps environments.
• Experience in delivery planning, financial/resource management, risk management and dependencies.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and executive reporting skills.
• Collaborative leadership, mentoring project managers and solving problems in changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead full delivery lifecycle of one or more initiatives with governance and alignment to customer goals.
• Build and lead delivery teams, ensuring collaboration, accountability and quality within time and budget.
• Develop and manage delivery plans, estimates, budgets and resources with milestones.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies across tech, operations and business teams.
• Manage customer/stakeholder relationships and communicate sensitive information confidently.
• Provide clear reporting on delivery progress, financials, risks and benefits to customers and leaders.
• Facilitate meetings, workshops and presentations to support decisions and keep delivery moving.
• Adapt delivery approaches to changing business needs and foster innovative problem solving.
• Mentor and support other project managers and colleagues to strengthen delivery capability.
• Contribute to ongoing development of delivery practices, tools and frameworks.

As a Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects for the customers of Bailey Abbott, ensuring consistency with customer strategy, commitments and goals.

As a Project Manager you will get the opportunity to:

• Lead the full delivery lifecycle of one or more initiatives, ensuring strong governance and alignment with our customers' strategic goals.
• Build and lead high-performing delivery teams, inspiring collaboration, accountability and quality outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgets.
• Develop and manage delivery plans, estimates, budgets and resources, with clear milestones and success criteria.
• Proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies across technology, operations and business teams.
• Build trusted customer and stakeholder relationships, managing expectations and communicating sensitive information with confidence and care.
• Provide clear, insightful reporting on delivery progress, financial performance, risks and benefits to customers and senior leaders.
• Facilitate effective meetings, workshops and presentations that support informed decisions and keep delivery moving.
• Adapt delivery approaches to changing business needs, creating space for flexibility, experimentation and innovative problem-solving.
• Mentor and support project managers and colleagues, sharing expertise and strengthening delivery capability across Bailey Abbott.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of our delivery practices, tools and frameworks, bringing fresh thinking and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Your skills and experience include:

• Demonstrated experience leading complex technology and business initiatives from planning through to completion, delivering quality outcomes on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of delivery frameworks and governance, with the ability to adapt your approach across Agile, traditional and DevOps environments.
• Proven capability in delivery planning, financial and resource management, risk management and navigating complex dependencies.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including executive reporting, facilitation and the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
• A collaborative leadership style, with experience motivating multidisciplinary teams, mentoring project managers and solving problems in changing environments.
