Rous County Council in Ballina is seeking an experienced Engineer to lead technical delivery on water, asset renewal and environmental projects. You will drive design and construction, mentor teams, and engage with contractors and consultants to deliver fit-for-purpose outcomes for our region.

The role offers a structured training culture, mentorship from senior staff, a 9-day fortnight with generous leave, a vehicle allowance and competitive salary.

Formación

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or engineering and water industry experience.
• Proven leadership and project management skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
• Experience in design and construction of water assets.

Responsabilidades

• Project manage the design and construction of asset renewal and new asset projects, including engagement and management of consultants and contractors.
• Prepare procurement documentation, including contracts, cost schedules, specifications, quoting, tendering and evaluation plans.
• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of contractors across fronts, focusing on safety, environment, work quality and reporting.
• Provide technical guidance and support to Capital Program colleagues.
• Undertake engineering design and documentation for water assets, ensuring compliance with current standards.
