Job summary

CGC Recruitment is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a major rail infrastructure project on an 8-month contract. The role focuses on complex structures and major civil works, with site-based delivery and a 2/1 FIFO roster.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, Supervisors and subcontractors to keep the project moving safely, efficiently and to programme, bringing strong civil engineering expertise and stakeholder management to the team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' civil engineering/project delivery experience.
• Strong major infrastructure and structures experience.
• Previous experience as a Senior Project Engineer.
• A relevant Civil Engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering delivery on a major rail infrastructure project.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Supervisors and subcontractors to maintain programme.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the delivery team on a major rail infrastructure project on an 8-month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior Civil Engineer with a strong background in complex structures and major infrastructure delivery to step into a key site-based engineering role.

What you'll be working on

You'll take ownership of the day-to-day engineering requirements across a significant package of works, including:

• Excavation & earthworks
• FRP
• Drainage
• General civil and structural infrastructure works

What we're looking for

We're keen to speak with Civil Engineers with 10+ years' experience who have a proven track record delivering complex structures and major infrastructure projects.

You'll ideally have:

• 10+ years' civil engineering/project delivery experience
• Strong major infrastructure and structures experience
• Previous experience as a Senior Project Engineer
• A relevant Civil Engineering qualification
• Strong construction and technical knowledge
• Excellent stakeholder and subcontractor management skills
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to project delivery
• Rail experience is highly advantageous
