Job summary

Amida Group is recruiting a Senior/Project Engineer to join its growing Sydney-based team. You will drive daily delivery of high-quality, on-time construction projects including large post-tension concrete structures. Expect fast-track progression within a supportive culture.

Ideal candidates have 5–15+ years of experience, strong technical acumen, and proven ability to manage subcontractors, drawings, and budgets on site across NSW.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or similar.
• Minimum 5-15+ years' experience.
• Experience in post-tension concrete structures.
• Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements / standards.
• Strong project financial reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Planning, coordination and execution of construction works.
• Managing subcontractors, suppliers and consultants on site.
• Monitoring construction programs, procurement schedules and project milestones.
• Reviewing construction drawings, shop drawings and technical documentation.
• Resolving technical issues and contributing to value engineering initiatives.
• Overseeing quality control across site activities.
• Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental and statutory requirements.
• Supporting project reporting, progress claims and cost tracking.
• Building strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Assisting the Project Manager/Project Director with day-to-day project administration as required.

Our client is a growing and leading Sydney-based construction group delivering high-quality commercial projects and have an expanding pipeline across NSW. They are seeking a driven and capable Senior / Project Engineer to join its growing construction team.

You will be responsible for the daily delivery of high quality and on-time construction projects, ensuring that the projects are completed to documented drawings, specifications and nominated timeframes.

Having previous experience working on large scale structures including post-tension concrete structures is ideal. Projects experience from $50m to $100m+ is ideal.

Years of experience:

5-15 years +

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Project Delivery & Site Coordination

• Planning, coordination and execution of construction works
• Managing subcontractors, suppliers and consultants on site

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Supporting site safety systems, inspections and reporting

Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination

• Supporting project reporting, progress claims and cost tracking
• Building strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Assisting the Project Manager/Project Director with day-to-day project administration as required
