Job summary

Greatland Resources Limited is seeking a hands-on leader to oversee planning, engineering, procurement and execution of brownfield capital projects across structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation disciplines at the Telfer operation.

You will work with stakeholders, engineers, contractors and site leadership to meet objectives, control costs and ensure outcomes align with business strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 8+ years in mining, mineral processing or industrial infrastructure.
• 5+ years delivering brownfield capital projects.
• Experience managing projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Strong contract management including management of construction contractors and vendors.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards relating to civil, structural, mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
• Experience in scheduling, cost control, budgeting and forecasting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and SAP.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Section 26 Statutory Supervisor certification.
• Experience managing engineering consultants and design contracts.
• Experience in infrastructure and layout design.
• Leadership experience managing project teams or contractors within a mining environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe delivery of sustaining capital projects from initiation through to commissioning and handover.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, forecasts and resources to achieve project objectives.
• Coordinate engineering, design reviews, procurement activities and construction execution.
• Oversee construction contractors and consultants to ensure delivery meets quality, safety and performance expectations.
• Engage with operational stakeholders to define project requirements, develop solutions and manage scope changes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Greatland, Telfer and Australian Standards, statutory requirements and company procedures.
• Conduct regular project reviews and provide accurate monthly progress and capital forecasting reports.
• Drive strong cost management practices through effective budgeting, forecasting and expenditure control.
• Promote a culture of safety leadership through contractor management, field leadership activities and critical control verification.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve asset reliability, operational efficiency and project delivery outcomes.
