Job summary

McConnell Dowell Australia seeks a Senior Project Engineer to join our team on a major civil infrastructure project in metropolitan Adelaide. You will lead engineering and construction activities, coordinating across disciplines to deliver safety, quality, program and cost outcomes.

You will manage engineering teams, plan activities, and work with managers and superintendents on temporary works, procurement and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in construction, civil or mechanical engineering.
• Senior Project Engineer with experience delivering complex works.
• Strong project engineering and project management capability.
• Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating construction activities.
• Strong commercial awareness across cost, program, procurement and subcontractor management.
• Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Strong communication and influencing skills across engineering and construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and construction delivery across the allocated project area.
• Coordinate engineering, planning, quality, survey, cost and scheduling activities.
• Manage civil works delivery against project quality, program and cost requirements.
• Work with Managers and Superintendents on construction planning, temporary works and project progress.
• Monitor program, progress and costs, providing reporting and coordinating procurement and subcontract tender evaluations.
• Oversee temporary works verification, engineering audits, quality inspections and continuous improvement.
