Job summary

McConnell Dowell in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for a major civil infrastructure project. You will work closely with construction and engineering teams to plan, coordinate and deliver within safety, budget and schedule constraints.

This hands-on role covers engineering, planning, temporary works, procurement, costs, scheduling and quality, with a focus on delivering safe, efficient outcomes and continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

• Working knowledge of project management principles.
• Demonstrated project engineering experience within a construction environment.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to deliver to project timelines.

About the role

McConnell Dowell is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team supporting an upcoming major civil infrastructure project in metropolitan Adelaide.

Joining as the project builds towards delivery, you’ll work closely with construction and engineering teams to plan, coordinate and deliver your area of works safely, efficiently and to project requirements.

This is a hands‑on delivery role with exposure across engineering, planning, temporary works, procurement, cost, scheduling and quality.

• Provide technical support, interpret drawings and coordinate temporary works.
• Coordinate engineering activities to support safe, efficient construction delivery.
• Support planning, procurement, scheduling and subcontractor coordination.
