Job summary

29Metals’ Golden Grove operation seeks a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to lead site electrical projects on a busy mining site in Western Australia. You will report to the Engineering Superintendent and work on an 8:6 roster, coordinating HV, LV, and MV systems across multiple projects.

You will drive safety, cost control, on-time delivery, and on-budget execution, manage contractors, perform risk assessments and JSEAs, and review equipment strategies to comply with Australian and site

Qualifications

• Our ideal candidate will have experience leading electrical project engineering roles within the mining industry.
• A tertiary qualification in electrical engineering.
• Experience with mineral processing plants and power distribution equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in project initiation, cost estimation, budget submissions and project delivery.
• Deliver electrical power and system engineering solutions (HV, LV, MV), including project scoping, design and commissioning.
• Manage contractors and ensure quality workmanship and compliance with standards.
• Perform risk assessments, JSEAs, and safety investigations to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Review equipment strategies to align with statutory, Australian, and site standards.
• Drive innovation by managing changes to processes, equipment, or plant operations.
