Job summary

DRA Global Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead complex mining engineering projects. You will provide technical leadership across design, analysis, and construction, ensuring on-time delivery, within budget, and to quality standards.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and develop innovative solutions while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements. Brisbane CBD office offers flexible hours and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience delivering engineering projects with technical leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead teams.
• Experience mentoring and coaching other engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities

The Role - Senior Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of complex engineering projects. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and develop practical solutions to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical guidance across all phases of project delivery, including design, analysis, implementation, and construction support.
• Develop innovative engineering solutions to address project challenges and achieve client objectives.
• Ensure designs comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and client specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop and deliver projects in line with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
• Oversee engineering activities, monitor project performance, and proactively resolve technical issues.
• Conduct technical reviews and audits to ensure compliance with best practices and project standards.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across all project activities.

About You

Strong understanding of engineering principles and project delivery, with experience applying project management methodologies, tools, and software to successfully plan, coordinate, and execute complex engineering projects.

• 8+ years’ experience in engineering project delivery, with a focus on technical leadership, working on mineral processing projects.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, processes, and technologies, including planning, design and operations.
• Experience mentoring and coaching other team members,
• Excellent communication, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Qualifications & Memberships

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or related discipline.
