Qualifications

• Extensive major infrastructure experience, including senior project controls leadership on large projects.
• CPA and MBA qualifications are highly desirable.
• Hands-on ownership of budgets, accruals, expenditure reporting, forecasting and financial governance.
• Experience in contractor progress claims, invoice assessment, variations and contractor performance monitoring.
• Integrated project controls across cost, schedule, risk and change, including WBS/CBS structures, earned value and quantitative risk assessment.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI capability, with experience using major project financial and cost management systems.
• Ability to lead a function, work across disciplines and translate detailed financial information into clear management advice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project cost controls for major infrastructure initiatives.
• Develop and maintain budgets, accruals, and expenditure reporting with forecasting.
• Provide financial governance and executive dashboards for decision making.
• Assess contractor progress claims, variations, and performance.

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Project Controller with extensive Cost Controller experience. This role requires strong experience in Finance.

The role requires the following essential skills

Required Skills:

Extensive major infrastructure experience, including senior project controls leadership on large projects

Highly Desirable, experience in the energy and resources experience.

Strong accounting and financial management capability.

Highly desirable, having CPA and MBA qualifications.

Hands-on ownership of budgets, accruals, expenditure reporting, forecasting and financial governance.

Practical commercial experience covering contractor progress claims, invoice assessment, variations and contractor performance monitoring.

Integrated project controls experience across cost, schedule, risk and change, including WBS/CBS structures, earned value and quantitative risk assessment.

Experience establishing and improving cost management frameworks, reporting processes and executive dashboards.

Advanced Excel and Power BI capability, with experience using major project financial and cost management systems.

Ability to lead a function, work across disciplines and translate detailed financial information into clear management advice.
