Job summary

Randstad Senior Finance is partnering with a leading infrastructure business to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role bridges financial control and site operations, working with Project Leaders to drive profitability and oversee end-to-end project lifecycles.

You will deliver monthly project reporting, cost-to-complete forecasts, and variance analysis; monitor payroll, support internal controls, and assist with ERP or project management software implementations.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification or active progress toward completion.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP accounting, and project financial controls.
• Advanced financial modelling in Excel.
• Excellent communication with non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee progress billings, contract variations, WIP analysis, accruals, and project setup/closeout procedures.
• Deliver monthly project reporting packages, including cost-to-complete forecasts, variance analysis, and dashboards.
• Monitor project claims and drive efficient collection workflows to optimise DSO.
• Partner with engineering and site teams to allocate costs per contracts.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll and resolve payroll queries.
• Compile project compliance documentation.
• Support internal controls enhancements and ERP/project management software implementations.
