Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a Senior Project Accountant/Cost Controller to join our Finance team at the RAAF Base Williamtown. This role focuses on project financial management and reporting across the BDA Portfolio, offering exposure to a dynamic defence environment.

You will be responsible for weekly/monthly/annual reporting, estimates at completion, variance analysis, and presenting financial insights to senior stakeholders while mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business or commerce or equivalent experience.
• CA/CPA qualification desirable.
• Relevant experience in project accounting, management accounting or cost control.
• 6+ years' related work in Defence or other project-based industries.
• Familiarity with Oracle ERP, TM1 desirable.
• Competent in Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines; strong communication across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Participate in weekly, monthly and annual reporting requirements.
• Prepare Estimates at Completion.
• Advise management on financial performance projections.
• Perform variance analysis for multiple stakeholders across the business.
• Interpret, prepare and reconcile financial information.
• Produce standard and ad hoc financial reports for management.
