Boeing Defence Australia is hiring a Senior Project Accountant/Cost Controller to lead project financial management across the BDA Portfolio. The role focuses on reporting, budgeting, and cost control in a fast-paced defence environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business or commerce or equivalent experience.
• CA/CPA qualification desirable.
• 6+ years in Defence Industry or other project-based industries.
• Experience in project accounting, management accounting or cost control.

Responsibilities

• Participate in weekly, monthly and annual reporting requirements.
• Prepare Estimates at Completion.
• Make recommendations to management on financial performance projections.
• Initiate and review variance analysis and provide understanding of operational and financial performance to multiple stakeholders across the business.
• Analyse, interpret, prepare and reconcile financial information.
• Prepare standard and ad hoc internal and external financial reports for management and present to internal stakeholders where required.
• Stakeholder management including liaising with project managers, product team leads, finance team, program leadership and the Commonwealth customer.
• Mentoring of junior project accountants in the team.
