Job summary

Ridge View Secondary College invites applications for a dynamic Program Coordinator – Student Wellbeing and Engagement (SWAE). You will provide strategic and operational leadership within the SWAE team, aligning practice with Department of Education policy to support student wellbeing, engagement, attendance and behaviour.

Working with College Leaders and Year Coordinators, you will analyse student data, lead interventions, coach staff and promote restorative, trauma-informed and SEL approaches

Qualifications

  • Be Australian or NZ citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term.
  • Hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
  • Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
  • Additional eligibility and training requirements are outlined in the attached Job Description Form (JDF).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and strengthen SWAE structures with College Leadership Team and coordinators.
  • Use student data to identify emerging trends and lead targeted, evidence-informed interventions.
  • Build staff capability through professional dialogue, coaching and guidance.
  • Support restorative, trauma-informed and relationship-focused approaches to student wellbeing, behaviour and engagement.
  • Understand Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and integrate it across the College.
  • Lead by example, motivate and develop others, reflecting College values to support student success.
