Job summary

Transmax, a leading ITS solutions provider in Australia, is hiring a Senior Product Manager for a 12-month contract in Brisbane. You will work with product designers, engineers and customers to discover and deliver valuable outcomes that align with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities include leading product discovery, defining roadmaps, prioritising initiatives by customer value and feasibility, and launching products that drive adoption and measurable business results.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Technology or equivalent industry experience.
• 4+ years' experience managing technology-enabled products.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills using customer discovery, experimentation and data.
• Experience shaping product strategy and influencing senior stakeholders on direction and investment.
• Experience identifying opportunities to scale products beyond a single customer.
• Ability to develop solutions in complex environments using customer feedback and data to shape direction.
• Proven ability to influence and build relationships across technical, commercial and leadership teams.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Manager, you will operate at the intersection of business, technology and user experience. This 12 month position will work closely with product designers, engineers, customers and stakeholders, leading product discovery and delivery to create valuable customer outcomes and support Transmax's strategic objectives through strong collaboration and influence.

What You’ll Do

Product Management

• Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and ensure solutions solve meaningful problems.
• Lead product discovery, experimentation and validation to test and refine ideas.
• Partner with Product Designers and Engineers to deliver valuable, usable, feasible and viable solutions.
• Develop and execute product strategies, roadmaps and priorities aligned to company objectives.
• Drive product vision and champion Product Management best practices.
• Prioritise initiatives based on customer value, business impact and feasibility.
• Lead successful product launches that drive adoption, customer value and business outcomes.
• Identify market opportunities, product gaps and areas for growth.

What You'll Bring

You can clearly demonstrate how to translate customer insights into product strategy, features and improvements that deliver measurable customer and business outcomes and can clearly articulate the impact of your decisions.

You enjoy solving complex problems and working across commercial, operational and technical environments.

You understand a range of product management frameworks and know when to apply the right approach.

You confidently influence stakeholders, thrive in ambiguity, and balance strategic thinking with practical delivery.

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Technology or equivalent industry experience.
• 4+ years' experience managing technology-enabled products.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, applying customer discovery, experimentation and data to deliver measurable value.
• Experience shaping product strategy and influencing senior stakeholders on product direction, priorities and investment decisions.
• Experience identifying opportunities to scale products beyond the needs of a single customer.
• Ability to develop solutions in complex environments using customer feedback, data and experimentation to shape product direction and validate outcomes.
• Proven ability to influence and build strong relationships across technical, commercial and leadership teams.

Highly Desirable

• Experience working with ICT products within specialist industry environments.
• Familiarity with Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) concepts and terminology.
• Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites and industry events (up to five interstate trips annually).
