Job summary

PlaySide Studios, Australia’s largest publicly listed independent game developer, is seeking a Senior Producer to lead projects from kickoff to final delivery. You will own client relationships, balance scope and schedules, and adapt plans as requirements evolve.

You will steer cross‑functional teams across Unity and Unreal pipelines, manage risks, track milestones, and deliver clear status reports to stakeholders while ensuring high-quality game experiences across mobile, PC, VR, and AR

Qualifications

• Proven track record of successful deliveries.
• Experience managing project scope, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Deep understanding of game development pipelines and engines (Unity, Unreal).
• Strong analytical skills to forecast milestones from sprint data.

Responsibilities

• Independently coordinate and drive short-cycle projects across multiple teams and shared resources.
• Define and track schedules, milestones, responsibilities, and acceptance criteria.
• Own day-to-day client management, clarify needs, manage expectations, and secure timely decisions.
• Translate changing client requests into priorities with clear trade-offs in scope, schedule and quality.
• Manage dependencies, mitigate delivery risks, oversee testing, release and handover.
• Factor assisted development workflows into project estimates, review cycles and final delivery quality.

Position Overview

As our Senior Producer, you will lead dynamic projects from kickoff to final delivery. Serving as the primary client liaison, you will expertly balance scope, schedules, and changing requirements. By integrating modern development workflows into your planning, you will steer cross-functional teams, mitigate risks, and drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Independently coordinate and drive short-cycle projects across multiple teams and shared resources.
• Define and track achievable schedules, milestones, responsibilities, and clear acceptance criteria.
• Own day-to-day client management, clarifying needs, managing expectations, and securing timely decisions.
• Translate changing client requests into agreed priorities while clearly communicating trade-offs in scope, schedule, and quality.
• Keep projects moving by managing dependencies, mitigating delivery risks, and overseeing testing, release, and handover.
• Accurately factor assisted development workflows into project estimates, review cycles, and final delivery quality.

What You Bring to the Table

• Proven track record of successful deliveries.
• Skilled in project scope management, identifying and addressing risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Deep understanding of game development pipelines, target platforms, and game engines (Unity, Unreal).
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting sprint data and forecasting its impact on roadmaps and milestones.
• Strong risk management skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks while maintaining a risk register.
• Excellent relationship-building skills to foster trust among stakeholders and development teams.
• Proficiency in delivering detailed reports on project status and health for key stakeholders.
