Job summary

Downer Energy & Utilities is seeking a Senior Procurement Advisor to drive sourcing strategies for major infrastructure projects across Australia. The role covers bid mobilisation, supplier and subcontractor engagement, and performance of complex sourcing activities.

You will negotiate commercial outcomes and present recommendations to senior leadership, with flexibility for Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane and work-from-home options.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in capital project procurement within energy, infrastructure or resources.
• Experience supporting high value bids and tenders in public or private sectors.
• Experience managing complex procurement packages including long lead time and international sourcing.
• Strong commercial acumen with negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Support bid and project mobilisation with sourcing and contracting strategies.
• Lead supplier and subcontractor engagement and complex sourcing activities.
• Negotiate commercial outcomes and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure governance and value delivery.
