Job summary

The Clancy Group is seeking a Senior Buyer/Procurement Manager to support delivery across water sector projects. You will lead procurement activities from early engagement through to delivery, ensuring value, risk management and alignment with programme, cost and quality targets.

You will collaborate with operations, commercial and estimating teams, develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and monitor performance against budgets and KPIs in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a senior buyer or procurement lead in a commercially focused environment.
• Experience in utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure is preferred.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management, market trends and supplier engagement.
• Good working knowledge of contract law and commercial frameworks.
• Confident communicator; able to negotiate with stakeholders at all levels and manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• CIPS qualification preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and support project delivery.
• Inform pricing and procurement strategies with estimating teams during pre-construction.
• Attend start-up meetings and provide procurement guidance.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned to contract and business needs.
• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors, including tendering and negotiation.
• Monitor technical, commercial and regulatory requirements and ensure conformance.
