Job summary

Downer’s Energy & Utilities division is seeking a Senior Procurement Advisor to support a major capital infrastructure project: a 100km, 500kV transmission line north of Sydney. You will manage the full procurement lifecycle from sourcing to contracting, collaborating with subcontractors, international suppliers, project teams, and senior leadership.

Qualifications

5+ years of procurement experience on capital projects.
Strong commercial acumen and contract management capabilities.
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end procurement activities for the transmission line project, including sourcing, contracting, and supplier management
Negotiate with subcontractors and international suppliers to secure materials and resources
Collaborate with project teams and regional procurement hubs to optimise schedule and cost outcomes
Monitor and report on procurement risks, opportunities, and KPIs
Support the Senior Procurement Advisor and project leadership to deliver on time and within budget
