Job summary

Downer Energy & Utilities in Australia is seeking a Procurement Hub Manager to lead a growing team supporting major energy infrastructure projects nationwide. You will shape procurement strategy, build capability and drive improvements in governance and outcomes across large-scale initiatives.

You will partner with project teams, deliver commercial value, manage risk and mentor staff while embedding new ways of working and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Strong procurement, sourcing and commercial capability, ideally in a capital project environment within energy, infrastructure, utilities or mining.
• A natural leader who can navigate complex stakeholder environments and lead from the front, with hands-on coaching and mentoring to a growing team.
• A proactive problem solver who can challenge the status quo and develop practical solutions to support project delivery and procurement performance.
• Highly effective communication and influencing skills, with confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on service, safety and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals supporting a portfolio of energy projects.
• Partner with project delivery teams to deliver procurement outcomes that support successful project execution.
• Identify and deliver commercial value, supply chain efficiencies and innovative sourcing solutions.
• Ensure governance, risk management and compliance with procurement policies and frameworks.
• Contribute to ongoing procurement transformation and embed new ways of working, systems and processes.
• Foster a high-performing, customer-focused culture that prioritises collaboration and continuous improvement.
