Job summary

Downer is seeking a Senior Procurement Advisor to lead end-to-end procurement for a major capital infrastructure project: a 100km, 500kV transmission line north of Sydney. You will source, contract, and manage suppliers, collaborating with project teams and senior leadership to deliver materials on time and within budget.

This full-time permanent role offers exposure to international suppliers and regional procurement hubs, with opportunities for leadership development and internal mobility

Qualifications

5+ years' experience in procurement for capital projects, ideally in Energy & Utilities or construction.
Strong commercial acumen and experience managing complex contracts.
Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end procurement activities for the transmission line project, including sourcing, contracting, and supplier management.
Negotiate with subcontractors and international suppliers to secure materials and resources.
Collaborate with project teams and regional procurement hubs to optimise schedule and cost outcomes.
Monitor and report on procurement risks, opportunities, and KPIs.
Support the Senior Procurement Advisor and project leadership in delivering projects on time and within budget.
