Job summary

Fortescue Metals Group invites a Superintendent – Process Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary team across our Cloudbreak and Christmas Creek OPFs. You will ensure technical service delivery, plant performance and product quality while safeguarding data integrity and workforce capability.

You will drive structured investigations, improve processes and maintain QA/QC standards, aligning with the Process Engineering business plan and technical roadmap.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in chemical, process or metallurgical engineering.
• Statutory supervisor qualification mandatory.
• Senior leadership of multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of mineral processing and metallurgical accounting.
• QA/QC in laboratory operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and mentor the Process Engineering team to drive capability and succession planning.
• Drive safe, accountable and inclusive ways of working with strong risk management.
• Build relationships across departments and manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Support achievement of operational KPIs and broader business outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership across plant performance and product quality.
• Lead problem solving, investigations and continuous improvement activities.
• Balance priorities in a dynamic operating environment.
