Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer in Australia (Senior/Principal) to embed with customers and design scalable AI/ML solutions on Cloudera. You will craft full-stack AI apps, partner with strategic customers, and shape enterprise AI architectures while codifying reusable patterns.

The role emphasizes deep ML engineering chops, strong customer engagement, and mentorship across teams, with a focus on GenAI, MLOps, and robust security/compliance practices in enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production-grade systems with 2-4 years ML experience.
• Hands-on software and data engineering with full-stack ML apps.
• Experience with foundation models and RAG techniques.
• Strong ability to engage with customers and translate needs into tech strategy.
• Awareness of security, governance and compliance in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype enterprise AI/ML solutions embedded with customers.
• Develop scalable full-stack AI/ML apps on Cloudera platform.
• Advise customers on AI roadmaps, architecture, deployment and use cases.
• Create repeatable reference architectures and starter kits.
• Mentor teams and contribute to reusable tooling and playbooks.
