Job summary

LGT Group is seeking a Principal Engineer to set technical direction and strengthen how software is designed, built and run across LGT Wealth Management Australia.

You will lead across core wealth platform, integrations, data and client channels, delivering secure, resilient, and maintainable systems. This is a hands-on senior role focused on code, architecture decisions and mentoring rather than management.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience across multiple teams.
• Deep expertise in modern programming languages and production code reviews.
• Strong distributed systems design and API/data-model skills.

Responsibilities

• Set and evolve engineering direction across teams in line with architecture.
• Lead design of complex systems, APIs and data models for performance and scalability.
• Hands-on coding, prototyping and high-risk technical work.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring standards and engineering culture.
