Job summary

Consolidated Power Projects (CPP) is expanding its Perth hub and seeks a Senior Primary Engineer to deliver high-voltage substation design and related studies. You will report to the Manager, Primary Design and contribute hands-on expertise across electrical primary design and HV equipment specifications.

Based in Perth with relocation support available, you will collaborate with in-house design teams while supporting projects across WA.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equal & Chartered Status (or ability to achieve on commencement).
• 5+ years in HV power transmission industry.
• Proven experience producing detailed engineering studies in at least one of: System Studies (Load Flow/Short Circuit), Earthing & EMF, Insulation Coordination, or HV cable sizing.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on detailed engineering studies including system studies and earthing coordination.
• Apply primary design skills for conductor/busbar sizing, short circuit forces, and equipment layouts.
• Prepare HV equipment specifications and design documentation.
• Collaborate with CPP teams to grow the Perth hub and travel interstate as needed.
