Job summary

Blackwoods in Sydney is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our pricing team. You will analyse pricing and profitability data, provide commercial insights, and partner with Sales, Category and Finance to drive better business outcomes.

This is a permanent, full-time role based at the Macquarie Park office. The role focuses on pricing advice for opportunities, analysing customer, product and pricing data to identify profitability and growth, and leading pricing projects to improve revenue,

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify commercial opportunities.
• Advanced Excel and large datasets experience with financial models or business analysis.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly explain insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to influence decision-making across the business.
• A tertiary qualification in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Data Analytics or a related field, with proactive, adaptable learning.

We're looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our growing Pricing team, support customers. You'll analyse pricing and profitability data, provide commercial insights and work closely with stakeholders across Sales, Category and Finance to help drive better business outcomes.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at the Blackwoods Office in Macquarie Park NSW.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide pricing advice and commercial insights to support new and existing business opportunities
• Analyse customer, product and pricing data to identify profitability and growth opportunities
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to influence commercial decisions and deliver pricing strategies
• Support major customer contracts, tenders and negotiations to ensure commercially sound outcomes
• Lead pricing projects and contribute to initiatives that drive revenue growth, margin improvement and business performance
• Drive continuous improvement of pricing processes and tools by leveraging strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify efficiencies, enhance data quality, and support scalable pricing solutions

What You'll Bring:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify commercial opportunities
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets, financial models or business analysis
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain insights and recommendations to stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience in Pricing, Commercial Analysis, Finance or Business Analytics
• Exposure to Power BI, SQL, Python or other analytical tools
• Experience working within mining, industrial, manufacturing or distribution environments
