Auto & General (A&G) is seeking a Pricing Actuary / Pricing Specialist to support pricing innovation projects and accelerate the company's pricing ambitions. This senior technical role requires exceptional quantitative acumen, data science/actuarial background, and relentless attention to detail in pricing model development.

The role is based in Sydney or Brisbane (Toowong) and will involve designing pricing algorithms, validating models, and implementing solutions in production with testing and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of general insurance pricing experience, especially short-tail.
• Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude.
• Meticulous data integrity and precise model development.
• Expert understanding of advanced statistical modelling techniques.
• Experience with Python and SQL.
• Degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Actuarial Science/Data Science/CS.
• Experience with Radar and Earnix pricing tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and validate pricing algorithms, predictive models, and simulation tools.
• Ensure data integrity and model accuracy with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ensure pricing solutions adhere to pricing policies and mitigate risks before implementation.
• Implement new pricing solutions in Production with testing and post-live monitoring.
• Collaborate with analytical colleagues across the company (e.g. BAU Pricing and IT).
