Job summary

Genus Infrastructure WA, part of the GenusPlus Group, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager (Pre-Contracts) to lead strategic commercial and contractual activities in Belmont, WA. This senior role focuses on contract review, risk assessment and negotiation for major infrastructure and energy projects.

You will work with bid, operations, estimating and planning teams to identify risks, develop negotiation strategies and secure commercially balanced terms that support successful project

Qualifications

• Preferably 8-10 years' relevant senior commercial/ pre-contract experience.
• Demonstrated pre-contracts management including contract reviews and risk assessment.
• Experience with electrical infrastructure, transmission, renewables or major construction projects.
• Proven experience supporting tenders and contracts over $100 million.
• Knowledge of Australian contracts (AS4000, AS4902, AS4910, FIDIC, NEC).
• Ability to evaluate contractual issues and recommend risk-based solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic commercial and contractual advice throughout tender and pre-contracts.
• Undertake detailed reviews and interpretation of complex head contracts and negotiate amendments.
• Assess risk allocation, insurance and payment terms to align with company objectives.
• Coordinate with estimating and operations to evaluate financial and delivery implications.
• Develop and lead contract negotiation strategies and compliant final terms.
• Ensure smooth handover of commitments to project delivery teams.
