Job summary

Save the Children Australia is launching the Ohana Academy Integrated Case Management in Cairns. The Senior Practitioner will lead holistic case management for youth aged 10-16 and their families, mentoring staff and coordinating cross-sector collaborations to deliver integrated education and wellbeing services.

You will work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, develop partnerships, and ensure child protection and risk management standards are met.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth and families
• Degree or Diploma in a related field or significant relevant experience
• Other skills as outlined in the position description

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of families and caregivers of young people who have been in contact with the youth justice system, including parent coaching to build family capacity
• Use partnership, outcomes-based, strengths perspective and client-centred approaches
• Drive quality program planning and implementation, including mentoring Youth Specialists
• Develop and maintain operational stakeholder relationships critical to the program
• Coordinate staff caseloads and program logistics, monitoring and evaluation, risk management and child protection
