BEC Engineering Pty Ltd in Perth is seeking a Senior Power System Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on HV network engineering and design for mining, minerals processing and utility sectors, contributing to the core professional group and project delivery from design to handover.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, an Electrical Engineering degree recognised by Engineers Australia, and hands-on exposure to power simulation software.

BEC Engineering is a well-established and respected Electrical, Power and Control Systems Engineering Servicesfirmlocated in Burswood.

We are currently involved in a range of projects both within Australia, with further project opportunities in the pipeline. We are inviting applications for Senior Power System Engineers with 5+ years of experience to join our Perth team.

The Role

The role will form part of the core professional group and will contribute strongly to the overall design capability of the team.

The position is project focused and involves HV network engineering and design for the mining, minerals processing and utility sectors.

The experience we are seeking includes the capability to take on a variety of roles within a project from the design and planning stages right through to finalisation and delivery.

Your career to date may have included:

• Project design experience ideally in minerals processing applications, power generation, power distribution/transmission or the utility sector.
• Experience in a consulting capacity.
• Experience with power simulation software.
• A willingness to perform site work and commissioning and to travel to remote locations is also required.

This position will provide the opportunity to develop skills working in a pro-active, friendly team environment that specialises in innovative electrical engineering design.

You will also be supported to take on challenges and develop your career path working with a team of specialised electrical engineers offering a diverse range of experience.
