Job summary

IAG Defence & National Security (DNS) is seeking a Senior Power Platform Software Engineer to lead hands-on development across Dynamics 365, Dataverse and Power Platform. You will design and implement full-stack solutions, integrating front-end apps with back-end services in a small, collaborative team.

The role focuses on Angular/Vue-style front-end work with JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, .NET, REST APIs and SQL, within Azure and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• EL1 equivalent (Senior) experience level.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse and the Power Platform incl. Power Pages.
• Strong front-end development skills using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS with Vue.js.
• Strong full-stack development skills including C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON and SQL.
• Experience with Azure and Power Platform integration technologies (API Management, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Power Automate).
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills in multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with AI and intelligent automation technologies (Azure AI, Copilot, AI Builder) is highly regarded.
• Microsoft certifications across Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure or AI are highly regarded.

• Develop solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse and the Power Platform, including Power Pages.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a small, high-performing IT team supporting a digital government portal program. This is a genuinely hands-on senior developer role — you'll oversee software development activities, write optimised code, and provide technical leadership across the Power Platform and Dynamics 365 stack.

You’ll work closely with business teams in a small resource group, so this suits someone who genuinely enjoys close collaboration in a tight-knit environment rather than a large, siloed development team. Key Responsibilities

Required

• EL1 equivalent (Senior) experience level
• Demonstrated experience developing solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse and the Power Platform, including Power Pages
• Strong front‑end development skills using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS, with experience in modern frameworks such as Vue.js
• Strong full‑stack development skills, including C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON and SQL
• Experience with Azure and Power Platform integration technologies, such as API Management, Azure Functions, Logic Apps and Power Automate
• Experience working with established application architectures, development patterns and reusable components, including Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary delivery teams
• Experience with AI and intelligent automation technologies (e.g. Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot, AI Builder) highly regarded
• Relevant Microsoft certifications across Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure or AI highly regarded

Engagement Details

Hybrid working arrangement — flexible in‑office/WFH, though ACT‑based staff are strongly preferred. 12‑month engagement, with extension options available.
