Job summary

Bluefin Company Limited in Sydney is seeking a Senior Portfolio Forecasting Analyst to shape lending strategy and financial planning. You will forecast portfolio evolution over 12–24 months and translate insights into actionable recommendations for risk, finance, operations and product teams.

You'll build a new capability from the ground up with high visibility across the business, collaborating with senior stakeholders to influence strategic decisions and driving data-driven growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in an analytical, commercial or strategic role.
• Experience across stress testing and portfolio-level scenario forecasting.
• Advanced Excel and SQL skills are essential.
• Experience with R, SAS or Python is a plus.
• The ability to translate complex analysis into practical business recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain portfolio forecasting models for growth and losses.
• Create scenario analyses to assess policy, pricing and channel impacts.
• Collaborate with Finance to embed forecasts into planning processes.
• Identify leading indicators and emerging risks in the portfolio.
• Deliver insights to drive growth, profitability and risk management.
• Analyze performance across segments, industries and channels.
• Support provisioning and expected loss forecasting methodologies.
• Present findings to senior stakeholders and executives.
• Help build and mature a new organisational analytics capability.
