The Reserve Bank of Australia invites applications for a Researcher to conduct self-directed policy‑oriented research and publish papers (Research Discussion Papers). You will help develop the Bank’s modelling suite and provide policy advice alongside our researchers as you build your research profile.

You will have significant autonomy to identify policy‑relevant topics, work with administrative micro‑datasets, apply macroeconometric techniques, and engage with the academic and policy

Qualifications

• PhD in Economics or expected by mid-2027.
• Strong technical, analytical and written and oral communication skills.
• Policy‑focused research and experience in policy institutions are desirable.
