Job summary

ClubsNSW is seeking a policy professional to lead public policy work across NSW and national issues, engaging with government, regulators and industry to shape practical outcomes for clubs and their communities.

The role focuses on analysing developments, advising member clubs, preparing briefs and submissions, and representing ClubsNSW and Clubs Australia in meetings and campaigns, with hybrid working arrangements in Sydney.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of public policy and legislative processes.
• More than five years’ experience in a policy or related role.
• Excellent written communication to persuade different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Track policy developments and assess their impact for clubs and action needs.
• Analyse issues and develop clear advice, recommendations and positions.
• Build relationships with government agencies, regulators, councils and industry bodies.
• Translate policy changes into member communications and practical guidance.
• Provide tailored advice to member clubs and support engagement with regulators and authorities.
• Lead strategic projects and campaigns using research, data and insights.
