Job summary

Carers NSW is seeking a part-time Manager, Policy and Development to lead the Policy Team and drive the organisation's policy submissions, discussion papers and advocacy materials. The role focuses on delivering high-quality policy outputs, while coordinating programs that support carer policy initiatives at State and Australian Government levels.

The position requires senior policy leadership, strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to work under tight timeframes.

Qualifications

• Experience researching, analysing and writing complex policy submissions and briefings.
• Ability to manage budgets, resourcing and team oversight.
• Strong written and verbal communication; public speaking ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Policy Team and ensure high quality policy output and deliverables.
• Coordinate new carer policy projects within the unit.
• Develop evidence-based proposals for policy reform with government bodies.
• Build relationships with government and non-government organisations.
