Job summary

Hitech Asia Pacific is recruiting for experienced Policy Advisors and Policy Writers to support significant Commonwealth Government priorities in Canberra. You will contribute to policy development, research, strategic advice, and high-quality government documentation, with a contract until 30 June 2027 and potential extension.

Qualifications

• Experience in Commonwealth Government policy development and implementation.
• Strong research, analysis, and drafting skills.
• Ability to prepare cabinet submissions, ministerial briefs and government documentation.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders across multiple agencies and jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support the implementation of government policy and reform initiatives.
• Research and synthesise information to inform policy development and decision-making.
• Prepare Cabinet submissions, ministerial briefs, policy proposals and other written products.
• Engage with Commonwealth, state and territory governments and key stakeholders.
