Griffith University in Brisbane South (Nathan) is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer - Windows to manage Windows Server ecosystems, Active Directory and related services for a large enterprise environment. You’ll support BAU and project work while guiding a small team.

Required: PowerShell, Infrastructure as Code, automation scripting, and cloud deployments (Azure/AWS); Agile/DevOps exposure is a plus. Willingness to join Windows on-call rota, approx every 4–5 weeks.

• Experience supporting a large enterprise Microsoft Windows environment.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy and SCCM.
• Experience in PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code.
• Programming or scripting skills for automation.
• Cloud deployments experience (Azure/AWS) preferred.
• Experience in Agile delivery.
• DevOps skills are advantageous.
• Available for Windows on-call roster roughly every 4–5 weeks.
• Degree or diploma with at least 6 years relevant experience.

About the opportunity

The IaaS Product team (Infrastructure as a Service) delivers secure, highly available infrastructure including Windows, Unix, VMware, Cloud IaaS and PaaS, Server and Storage. In this role, you’ll be providing excellent customer service while working in and guiding a team that builds tools and platforms for delivering Windows Servers services onsite and soon in the cloud.
The Senior Platform Engineer - Windows' primary focus is operational and project work for management ofWindows Servers, applications and Active Directory.
To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated IT professional with relevant qualifications and abackground in supporting Windows Servers and Active Directory with a strong desire for continuous learning.

About you

• Demonstrated experience supporting a large enterprise Microsoft Windows environment
• Demonstrated experience using Active Directory, Group Policy and SCCM.
• Demonstrated experience in PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code.
• Programming and scripting skills applied to automation and solution development (Required).
• Experience with cloud-based deployments and support (e.g., Azure, AWS) is well regarded.
• Experience working in an Agile delivery environment is well regarded.
• Software Development and/orDevOps skills are well regarded.
• Availability to participate on the Windows on-call roster, approximately every 4-5 weeks,essential.
• The occupant of this position will hold a relevant diploma or degree with at least 6years' subsequent relevant experience.

This is a full-time, continuing opportunity primarily based at the Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other locations.

HEW 8 - Base range - $117,579 - $132,273+ 17% superannuation. Total salary package range $137,567 - $154,759.
