Job summary

Commonwealth Bank’s Unloan Platform Team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build and own production software end-to-end, across the full stack using TypeScript, Node.js and Python.

You’ll work on AI-powered automation, modernise CI/CD, containerised platforms and cloud services, while maintaining security and reliability in production environments. This role is based in Sydney, Australia.

Qualifications

• Strong TypeScript, full-stack and Linux skills with end-to-end ownership.
• Experience across front-end, back-end, APIs, services and platform integrations.
• Take full-cycle ownership from design and development through deployment and production support.
• Familiarity with Azure, GitHub Actions, Terraform/Bicep, observability, networking and security automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and own production software end to end.
• Work across the full stack, building applications, APIs, integrations and automation.
• Help modernise CI/CD, automate operational processes and improve reliability and security.
• Own software from idea through to production, shaping platform capabilities.
