Job summary

WSP is expanding its urban and regional planning and environmental science team in Queensland, seeking a Senior Planner to shape Queensland's future. You’ll work on major infrastructure projects, collaborate with engineers and specialists, and deliver high-quality planning advice across transport, energy, and land use.

You should have 10+ years in urban/regional/infrastructure planning, a planning degree with eligibility for PIA, and strong knowledge of Queensland planning legislation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in urban, regional, or infrastructure planning.
• Planning degree and eligibility for PIA membership.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland planning legislation and policy.
• Experience managing or coordinating projects and teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative approach and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide thoughtful, high-quality planning advice for large-scale transport infrastructure projects.
• Embed within client teams, offering best-practice consultancy support.
• Lead or support planning project delivery, coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Work with clients and regulators, delivering timely, practical advice.
• Contribute to business growth through proposals and identifying opportunities.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver meaningful community and environmental outcomes.
