Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior to Principal Planning Engineer to lead water network planning across Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. Based in these locations, you’ll deliver strategic master and detailed planning for water, recycled water and wastewater systems, with mentoring responsibilities for engineers and planners.

You’ll translate population and demand into practical infrastructure plans, provide technical leadership, and contribute to options analyses and business cases.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil, Environmental or related Engineering discipline.
• Significant experience in water and/or wastewater infrastructure planning.
• Strong ability to lead strategic, master and detailed planning for water systems.
• Experience developing servicing strategies and infrastructure investment recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic, master and detailed infrastructure planning for water, recycled water and/or wastewater systems.
• Undertake and oversee water and/or wastewater network planning, infrastructure assessments and servicing strategies.
• Develop technically robust solutions for network upgrades, augmentation and new infrastructure.
• Lead the technical delivery and review of complex infrastructure planning projects.
• Translate population, demand, asset and network requirements into practical infrastructure plans and investment recommendations.
• Provide technical input into options assessments, business cases and infrastructure investment planning.
• Mentor engineers and planners within multidisciplinary teams.
