Job summary

DRA Global Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Piping Designer to join our growing engineering team in Perth. You will deliver high-quality piping designs and detailed drawings for complex mining projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams from concept through execution.

You will develop 2D and 3D piping models, ensure compliance with codes and standards, and contribute to design reviews and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience in a detailed engineering design environment for mining projects.
• Strong knowledge of piping design principles, standards and best practices.
• Proven experience delivering detailed design and construction-ready deliverables.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative project environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications and deliverables for piping systems.
• Develop accurate 2D and 3D piping models using CAD software.
• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, codes and project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and stakeholders on objectives.
• Participate in design reviews and resolve design-related challenges.
• Maintain design documentation, revisions and project records.
• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and management.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Piping Designer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality piping designs and detailed technical drawings that support the successful execution of complexengineering projects. Workingclosely withmultidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in transforming project concepts into practical, constructible solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and design deliverables for piping systems and components.
• Develop accurate 2D and 3D piping models using industry-leading CAD software.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable engineering standards, codes, and project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to understand project objectives and constraints.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to resolve design-related challenges.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure design accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Maintain design documentation, revisions, approvals, and project records.
• Provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders and management.
• Promote a safe, compliant, and professional working environment aligned with company values and policies.

About You

You are a detail-oriented piping designer with a strong technical background and a passion for delivering quality engineering outcomes. You enjoy working within multidisciplinary teams and can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining high design standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate III in Engineering (desirable).
• Minimum 8 years' experience in a detailed engineering design environment, working on mineral processing/mining projects.
• Strong knowledge of piping design principles, standards, and best practices.
• Proven experience producing detailed design and construction-ready deliverables.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative project environment.
